English words — from passive to an active vocabulary

Every word arrives inside a living phrase and an example, and spaced repetition brings it back exactly when you were about to forget it.

The interface, translations and hints are in Russian: Sayble is built for Russian speakers learning English.

Features

Not memorising lists — living language

The 5000 most frequent English words, each one inside the context it is actually used in.

Chunks and context

A word lives inside a collocation of 2–4 words and an example sentence — that is what makes it easy to recall and to use.

Spaced repetition

The schedule spreads the load across days by itself and returns a word at the right moment, instead of all at once.

Gentle reminders

Local notifications help you keep your streak — no spam, and no push server on our side.

Progress and levels

A path through levels A1–C1, streaks, statistics and milestones — you can watch passive vocabulary become active.

Fully offline

No network requests at all: the dictionary is built into the app, and pronunciation comes from your device's own speech engine.

Your own backup

Your progress can be exported and moved at any time — the file is created by you, and only when you decide to.

How it works

Three encounters with a word in a single session

1

First meeting

You see the word in its chunk and example, hear how it sounds, and get the translation and a memory hook right away.

2

Recognition and assembly

You check that you understood it and rebuild the word with hints — from a light prop to recalling it on your own.

3

Active recall

You produce the word yourself — and it moves into spaced repetition so that it settles in for good.

Privacy by default

Your data never leaves your phone

Sayble needs no account, shows no ads and collects nothing about you. All of your progress, settings and statistics are kept in a local database on your device.
